Update v2002 for Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) current branch is now available.

Microsoft has just released the latest Current Branch version of MECM, v2002, on April 1st. As a reminder, starting with the last release of SCCM, Microsoft transitioned the name from SCCM to MECM as a newly branded suite. Thus going forward SCCM will referenced as MECM.

As the release of MECM v2002 was recent, and as a good practice and industry standard, Kraft Kennedy will monitor if there are any immediate reported issues or hotfixes released prior to upgrading any production system. With that said, and MECM being released only a week ago, we will monitor this release’s stability and will recommend moving to the latest Current Branch of MECM in the near future.

Keeping your MECM infrastructure up to date is essential to a healthy foundation for Windows 10. As part of Kraft Kennedy’s Managed Desktop Service offering, we will help upgrade MECM allowing your firm to benefit from many of the new features and fixes.

As we gain more confidence in v2002 you will receive a communication from us to start the coordination of this upgrade for your firm. In most cases the upgrade simply requires minimal downtime of SCCM with no user disruptions. In the meantime, have a look below at some of the highlighted features we are excited about that will be added with the latest Current Branch release…Welcome to staying current!
