Overview
Multiple issues have been reported after installation of Microsoft’s September 2026 Security Updates. Affected platforms include Azure Virtual Desktop, Remote Desktop Services, and Citrix. Affected operating systems include Windows Server 2016, 2019, 2022, 2025, and Windows 11.
Issues
Reported issues include black screens, sessions stuck at “Connecting…”, inability to sign out, and problems with GPUs, audio, and video devices.
Resolution
Microsoft has released the following out-of-band (OOB) patches to remediate these issues:
