iManage Announces Upcoming Action Required for Continued Integration with Adobe Acrobat and Reader

Adobe recently announced that Protected Mode will become mandatory for Adobe Acrobat and Reader starting in December 2026. After this change, the option to disable Protected Mode will no longer be available.

All versions of iManage Work Desktop 10.10.3.35 and earlier currently require Protected Mode to be turned off.

In November 2026, iManage will release a new version of Work Desktop 10.10.3 that will support Protected Mode being turned on in Adobe applications. When that version is released, it should be quickly tested and deployed prior to Adobe’s planned change in December. Alternatively, to provide more time for iManage client testing, you can temporarily disable automatic updates for your Adobe applications, to prevent the December update from automatically installing.

For on-premise environments, please note that Work Desktop 10.10.3 is officially compatible with Work Server 10.5.0 or later.
