Firewalls, intrusion detection tools, and end-point security measures are crucial to a layered security program. However, there are limitations to securing and hardening your technology. Ultimately, the people using it can be the weakest link. Users in your environment can unravel the best security with one click. This session will discuss how to educate users on email, password, and web browsing practices, as well as how to familiarize them with the ways attackers use publically available information for social engineering-based hacking. We will cover the steps you can take to build an effective security awareness program that includes safe user behavior.
