SUMMARY:ALANYC Diversity and Inclusion Presentation: Gender Speak
DESCRIPTION:Kraft Kennedy is proud to host a session for the Association of Legal Administrators New York City (ALANYC) chapter’s initiative\, Diversity and Inclusion. \nGender Speak\nExamining Gender Bias and Male/Female Communication in the Workplace \n\nIn the aftermath of the #metoo movement\, it is more important than ever to explore communication issues between the genders in the workplace. \nJoin us for this timely discussion as we delve into how to solve gender gap issues and achieve parity at work by focusing on the questions and solutions discussed in the best-selling book: That’s What She Said: What Men Need to Know (And Women Need to Tell Them) About Working Together\, by Joanne Lipman. \nWhat can the Enron scandal teach us about the way men and women communicate professionally? How does brain circuitry help explain men’s fear of women’s emotions at work? Why did Kimberly Clark blindly have an all-male team of executives in charge of their Kotex tampon line? In That’s What She Said\, veteran media executive Joanne Lipman raises these intriguing questions and more to find workable solutions that individual managers\, organizations\, and policy makers can employ to make work more equitable and rewarding for all professionals. \nThis is an interactive session and will feature relevant studies and stories from the book and offer a roadmap on how to empower women\, engage men\, and harness the working power of both genders to strengthen the overall health and success of your organization. \n\n  \nPresenter: \nNadia Wagner\, Regional Office Administrator\, Beveridge & Diamond\, P.C. \nNadia Wagner is the Regional Office Administrator for the NY and Boston offices of Beveridge & Diamond\, PC\, a premier national environmental firm. Nadia has been with Beveridge & Diamond\, P.C. since 1989 and has been in the legal industry for over 30 years. Nadia is a member of her firm’s D&I and Sustainability Committees and serves as editor of the firm’s monthly newsletter\, B&D Connections. She has also served in numerous positions on the ALANYC Board of Directors\, including a term as President in 2004-2005\, and more recently as the ALANYC Sustainability Team and the ALANYC Community Connections Team leader (2018). She is a graduate of SUNY @ Stony Brook where she earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology.\n  \n  \nREQUEST MORE INFO\n
