Technology Reviews
Kraft Kennedy
believes that fully understanding the technology a firm has implemented is one
of the critical factors for providing recommendations on strategic direction and
technical focus that will best meet the firm’s business requirements. One of the
processes Kraft Kennedy uses to gather this information is the technology review.
The Review
The
technology review is an assessment of your network infrastructure, network
hardware, core applications, operating systems and desktop configuration. Depending upon the size of your firm and the number of offices, this process may
take from one to several days to complete. We will work with you to determine
the approach that will result in an optimal amount of information.
The
Process
The
technology review is performed on site by one or two members of our senior
technical staff. During the review our consultants meet with your IT staff to
discuss system procedures, performance issues and other pertinent information. We note wiring schemas, security provisions, network accessibility,
configuration preferences, stability and reliability of technology systems. We
also look at the ordinary everyday processes, such as logging in as an end
user, printing functions, and standard application performance. Our goal at the
completion of the technology review is to have a clear vision of the
technology implemented at your firm.
The
Results
Our findings from the technology review are
documented and presented along with our recommendations to your management
staff. Typically the recommendations are divided into several groups based upon
their need for action. Because your business relies heavily on technology, it
is our objective that the technology review results and recommendations
provide you with the information you need to make immediate decisions.
