Portal User Survey by
Plumtree
Plumtree published its annual
survey of portal customers, including survey data from over 100
organizations that have recently deployed portals. While the
respondents are largely corporations, there are useful insights
for law firms. The benefit of the portal for 61% of the
respondents was "employee self-service and access to
information/applications" rather
than cost cutting, customer service, or document publishing.
Over two-thirds of the respondents deployed the portal in less
than six months and only 5% experienced "indefinite delay."
Major deployment challenges were integration of applications
(for over 50% of respondents) and getting buy-in (for nearly
40%). If you want to explore whether a portal might be right for
your firm please call or
send us a message.
