WordPerfect Office 2002 (http://www.corel.com) is now on store shelves across North America. Corel has gone out of their way to make sure that WordPerfect Office 2002 has the new features and enhancements that would directly answer the needs of their loyal WordPerfect customers. These features include, Publish-to-PDF and HTML enhancements, Corel RealTime Preview enhancements, ability to share files with Microsoft Word users, easy document formatting with Reveal Codes, just to name a few.

Corel performed extensive research and received detailed customer feedback, and they have learned that WordPerfect Office Standard and Professional Editions are the office suite products preferred by the legal profession. Corel also feels that the expenses associated with bundling certain third party applications do not meet the company's target threshold for future investment. As a result, they have decided to discontinue the bundling of legal specific third party applications with Corel's office suite.

iManage releases new suite

iManage has renamed their products. The iManage client, formerly InfoRite, has been renamed DeskSite. The Outlook client, previously InfoLook, is now dubbed MailSite. The Web client, also known as InfoLink, is now called WorkTeam. Finally, the Web server software, aforenamed InfoCommerce Server, is now termed WorkSite Server. The new product line is called The WorkSite Suite.

iManage has also added new products:

WorkDocs is a web-based client that provides powerful and secure document management over the Internet and other kinds of nets. Features include search and retrieval, document check-in and check-out, version control, revision management, history, audit trails, and offline capabilities.

WorkPortal is a single point of access to enterprise application data, documents and web-based content. Browser interface and customizable filters and format displays allow users to easily get to the info they need to do their work.

WorkTeam is a secure, collaboration workspace for teams all over the map. Features include project document management, discussion threads, team calendaring, tasks, and events.

WorkRoute is a bundle of workflow management tools for shooting forms around and getting approvals and signoffs and such. Seriously, it makes life easier not only for bean counters but for everybody who needs to move work to and from others. Predefined rules allow team members to be notified when a document is uploaded, updated or deleted from a folder.

To view the size of an e-mail (including attachments) inside an Outlook folder, simply view that folder, right click on white space inside the message list, choose 'Show Fields', and add the 'Size' field to the 'Show these fields in this order' box. You will then see the field in the message list, and you can sort (by clicking on the column label) by the Size, to find the largest items.
