Technical Consultant
Kraft Kennedy has terrific opportunities for degree candidates and recent graduates. For consideration, a candidate should have a degree in Engineering or a science with excellent knowledge of PCs. Applicants must be analytical, creative, and detail-oriented. Excellent oral and written communication skills, problem solving proficiency, the ability to advise and consult with clients, and a broad knowledge of information technology is required.
The responsibilities of an entry-level consultant vary depending on the client requirements. Due to the wide range and flexibility of those requirements, our consultants are called upon to conduct needs analysis and strategic planning in the early phases of a project, the design of both LANs and WANs, integration of all hardware and software components, and ongoing support. If you have a good working knowledge of PCs and Windows, we will train you to become a consultant and an expert in current OS and networking technologies.
Desktop Engineer
Kraft Kennedy is looking for talented and driven people to join our consulting team to support and grow our infrastructure, messaging, virtualization, and desktop practices. From initial requirements through design and deployment our consultants develop solutions that leverage the latest technologies from Microsoft, VMware, and Citrix. Leveraging our internal best practices and knowledge base, our Application Packaging team analyze client application requirements, create customized MSI/MST distribution packages and custom scripts, and perform application integration, testing and quality assurance tasks.
Skills
Experience with the design, deployment and project management of large-scale desktop migration projects. This position requires excellent oral and written communication skills, strong problem solving and technical troubleshooting skills. Ability to work well with both business and technical users is required.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2-3 years hands on experience with Windows 7 installation, configuration, use and troubleshooting. This experience must include in-depth file systems and registry level knowledge.
- Active Directory and group policy experience.
- Experience with Wise Installation Studio/Package Studio or Flexera InstallShield or AdminStudio
- Thorough understanding of common infrastructure applications and networking technology is required (DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP, etc.).
- MCSE and/or related technical certifications are strongly preferred.
